Quarter 2- so.much.Travel!

As always, I want to share both my recent work and personal happenings!

Work- I think when I (maybe most) imagined a career you think of a time of “ok, I got this, I can take a deep breath and relax”….I am learning and seeing how the roles and responsibilities are as fluid as the way in which I respond. So then I am challenged with how do I respond consistently and in the way I desire vs reacting based on circumstances. I am seeing growth in this, but always desire for it to be faster! 😉

I am more comfortable with my communication skills in groups, I continually am learning what I want to say vs what is necessary and needed. How I contribute best. How to say “no” or “I need help”. Mostly I am learning that life is a journey and I am beginning to live IN it not create future “what ifs” unrealistic expected outcomes. I am seeing what a weight is lifted by allowing margin, allowing “crumbs” and not having it all together.

Hard to separate work and personal because I am seeing them overlap so much. Below are some fun things I’ve been up to at work and a short recap of personal FUN!

Ladies in the Leadership Development Program. All will do GREAT things and IMPACT!IMG_1228

On Founder’s Day we enjoyed a live band and fun dancing outside!IMG_1268I get the privilege of speaking to Operators every now and then and it is CRAZY to see me speaking to groups. A testament to how far I have come!IMG_1101This moment has been one of the proudest moment of my job. The day the 5 interns I selected for the Field Operations Department were announced and welcome for the summer!

Work FUN!

We had a team outing and I “sky dived” in a tube haha!

The group of LDP participants when we went out to dinner!IMG_1390

UGA!! Spring game day with the local Operator and seeing the Chick-fil-A food truck in action!

Lots of travel around the country! In the 2nd three months of 2017 I went to:

Lynchburg, Houston, El Paso, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Reno, Birmingham, St. Paul, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Midland…

My sweet friends who are Operators and also meeting Claire for the first time!

Reno, NV….A place that was surprisingly beautiful and has so much activity!

Had to capture Karren’s first Crackel Barrel experience!

Phoenix. Loved this “ladies” trip and the fun market with some of the most engaged Operators!

Infinity pool on top of the hotel!IMG_1372

Welp, leaving Phoenix was a 6 hour delay due to the patch these kind gentlemen were fixing!IMG_1377

Getting to spend time with Carlos, Erica and their sweet boys was a GIFT! What a pleasure to serve Operators like him!

Personal-

At the beginning of April I drove to see my Nana in south Georgia. She ended up passing away around Mother’s Day and I am so thankful I went to visit.

Greek Festival!

And sometimes work allows me to visit with friends! I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the time I spent with them over my 6 years with WinShape. IMG_1120

My Meme and parents came for Easter, so I HAD TO take them to Grant Park farmer’s market!

Mother’s Day weekend, we all went to Brevard to enjoy family, mountains and we ended up dancing the night away. A memory I will not soon forget.

My best friend GRADUATED with her MASTERS!!!!! What an accomplishment! IMG_1202

so of course we surprised her with a trip to the beach. St. Simmons was such a gift!

Friends, brunching together as every great young adult does these day 😉

Girls night! Tacos, wine/cheese, dancing and TONS of laughing!

Supporting Stacy at her baseball game and going to see my first Atlanta United game.

Still able to cook when I am in town. Breakfast….always.

Supper Clubs 4,5,& 6! I am truly loving the memories we have created through the consistency of doing these monthly dinners. So much fun!

Life’s a journey… which I mentioned through work, but I am seeing how much that truth resonates with my personal life as well. I would love to say to am thriving all the time. I only take photos with friends or meaningful experiences….but there is alot of life that happens that isn’t captured. Long travel days, reading nights, one on one hangouts and coffee dates…

I want to draw attention to the reality that I am learning to find rest THROUGHOUT the days. I have always had the pattern to think of an event or memory as a present and I go from one to the next to the next, etc. I am learning to see each day, interaction, conversation, pretty view, great meal, good night’s rest, etc. as a gift. I am learning to slow down to enjoy.

Learning, showing grace, and resting in His presence. Those are the traits I want to be known for. I am having a lot of fun, sharing a lot of memories, but ultimately I am learning not to miss life through being PRESENT.

Prayer- Discernment on how to use my time. As I grow into my career, decisions on how much time I am allotting for work vs. personal increase and I want to create the habits now that I want to maintain throughout my life. Boundaries so that one area of my “health” disproportionate to others.

Also, “adulting”. It is a difficult and tiring season of life that is hard to explain until you are in it and I assume those that have gone before have tried to share, but you don’t “get it” until you are living it. So many random responsibilities!

Although making these quarterly simplifies, it is overwhelming, so I’ll be returning back to month updates come the end of July!

Until next month,

Say Grace
